About us

NABI library was established in the year 2012. Presently it is situated in NABI interim facility and would be shifting to its main campus at knowledge city, Mohali. Being an agri-food research institute, library houses the collection on different subject areas that can be categorized as agri-biotech, food science and nutritional science. The books available here are according to the research interest of the institute. Collection on basic sciences like molecular biology, biochemistry, bio-informatics, genetics, biostatics etc. are also included in NABI library for catering the informative research needs for NABI faculty, staff, research scholars and trainees. The reading material also includes e-journals provided by various publishers (DelCON consortium member), online-reference sources, thesis/dissertations, project reports, annual reports, newspapers, magazines, journals. In order to inculcate the Hindi reading habit, NABI purchased few hindi fictional and non-fictional books and literatures.

Institutional Repositories (IR) of National Agri - Food Biotechnology Institute (NABI)::

SCIENCE-CENTRAL is Centralized Institutional Repositories Hosting Service for DST-DBT Labs and a Harvester service for DST-DBT Institutional Repositories.

http://nabi.sciencecentral.in is currently functional as a part of institutional repository. Currently the repository has been updated with scientific publications in high impact journals based on the research at NABI by its faculty. Soon we will consider submitting thesis, dissertations and other reports.

DelCON Consortium

NABI has been a member of DelCON Consortium since January 01, 2011. Within a short period of its existence, the institute could produce substantial number of publications. DelCON has been major resource to meet the scientific information requirement in the areas of agriculture, food and nutrition for its faculty, research scholars and trainees.
