1. Wide introgression for grain processing quality improvement
2. Development of regionally adapted colored wheat germplasm and understanding its health promoting effects.
3. Lowering celiac disease related epitopes in wheat.
4. Development of germplasm for bread, biscuit and chapati quality improvement

Current area of research:

Exploration of colored wheat as a commercial crop in India and understanding its effect of lifestyle disorders.

A genomics-assisted synthetic hexaploid wheat gene isolation and pre-breeding platform for improved heat tolerance and sustainable production
